Every candidate for Mayor and City Council Position 8 and 9 answered questions about growth in Crown Hill Urban Village. Read their responses HERE, and please share with your neighbors.
Mother in Law (ADU) and Back Yard Cottages (DADU)
The City is beginning the process of developing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to explore changes in building ADUs and DADUs on lots zoned for single family. Learn more about the EIS process, the changes proposed to the rules to build ADUs and DADUs on the City, and how to comment on the EIS Scope online, by email or in person HERE. The deadline to comment on the EIS scoping document is 5:00 pm November 1.
Neighbors who have questions, or are interested in building an ADU or a DADU should consider attending the public meeting on October 26th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Hales Ales (in the Palladium) 4301 Leary Way. The Committee for Smart Growth will share more information about building ADU/DADUs within the boundaries of CHUV (where the proposed re-zones will likely change to eliminate single family zoning) as we learn it.
Baker Park Redesign – Final Public Meeting
This public meeting will be an opportunity for neighbors to review Baker Park design options and provide input on play equipment options will be Saturday, October 28, 3:30 – 5:00 PM Crown Hill Dental 1421 NW 85th St
More information on re-designing Baker Park to create a more active, safer space can be found on the Baker Park City Project Page. The Baker Park redesign began because of neighbor’s efforts to highlight the crime and drug dealing at the park during last November’s Find It Fix It Walk with the Mayor.
