The City Council is making decisions NOW on growth and the future zoning of our neighborhood. Neighbors are encouraged to follow the City Council proceedings, communicate with Councilmembers directly with concerns or suggestions, and attend a public hearing currently scheduled for February 21st at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers.
The City Council has a Select Committee on Mandatory Housing Affordability (MHA). This Select Committee comprises all members of the Seattle City Council. It is considering amendments and discussing the zoning maps and accompanying legislation in January and February, with votes scheduled in February and March of 2019.

Friday, February 8, 2019 9:30am Committee Discussion: follow-up on amendments discussed to date
Thursday, February 21, 2019 5:30pm PUBLIC HEARING
Monday, February 25, 2019 2:30pm or after City Council Committee Discussion: Final Amendments / Committee Vote
Monday, March 18th 2:00 pm Final Vote of the full City Council
All neighbors can contact City Officials or go to City Hall and make public comments at a Council public hearing, meeting or event. The address at City Hall is 600 4th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104. Please check the official schedule of the committee to make sure there have not been changes to the schedule before going to a meeting.
