Would you like to add art on the Holman Bridge? How about creating a neighborhood gathering space at 90th and Mary with a street market, painted streets, seating or games? Or maybe create a walking loop around CHUV to make it easier to walk around our neighborhood?
City-led Community Planning for Crown Hill Urban Village is in full swing. These are just a few of the ideas that were discussed in the March Seattle Office of Planning and Community Development planning open house where more than 50 neighbors turned out and offered ideas for what our neighborhood could become in the future.
Community Planning Survey Open
If you missed the meeting in March, you can check out some of the ideas your neighbors offered and share your ideas in this survey. The survey takes about 15 minutes and has photos and drawings of idea concepts to help visualize what is possible, as well as opportunities to contribute your own ideas and suggestions.
Learn more about the CHUV Community planning process. And please join your neighbors in-person for the next planning meeting – likely in May or June. We will share the date and meeting information when we have it.
Neighborhood Street Fund Voting Open
The Neighborhood Street Fund (NSF) is a city program that enables the community to propose and help prioritize transportation-related projects that are then built by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). Neighbors submit project ideas that they think will benefit their community. Then neighbors can vote for the projects in their council district that they would like to see funded.
Voting is open now through May 5, 2019. Your vote will determine which projects in your district move forward for final selection by the move Seattle Levy Oversight Committee and are funded.
