Open House – Soundview Playfield
On, Saturday, June 3, the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department will host an Open House in Soundview Park from 1 to 3 p.m. to discuss planned renovations to the playfields to that include synthetic turf and lighting, ADA and other site improvements.
Neighbors are invited to learn more and provide input on the preferred design elements for the playfields at this meeting. There will be a tent at the park near the play area with light refreshments and activities for children.
CHUV Parks Upgrades
This is the second park upgrade Open House that the City has scheduled in Crown Hill in the last month. The first, at Baker Park, drew community members with thoughtful ideas about how to better activate the park to deter crime and design it to accommodate community needs as we grow denser. Parks Department officials strongly urged community members to weigh in regarding changes to Baker Park, by taking their survey. The City will hold a second design and planning meeting that integrates community suggestions for Baker Park in July.
There is no survey available for community members to provide feedback on Soundview Playfield at this time.
We’ll continue to update everyone through our email outreach and online calendar as we learn more.
